Due Diligence

During my five years at Wind River Systems I was involved due diligence activities related to investigating 7 companies, 4 of which were acquired. This work included:

• Meeting with and interviewing technical and management staff.
• Reading documentation related to all the company's products.
• Doing extensive code walk throughs with senior technical staff.
• Evaluating the claims of the staff against the actual software and software demonstrations.

At the end of each of these due diligence periods I wrote a full report giving my evaluation not only of the technology but the people involved in the company and how they could be integrated into Wind River.
